1943年，国共联合抗战期间，爱国青年，豫商世家之子沈立一心要投奔心中的圣地延安，不料介绍人，亦师亦友的红色资本家老邢遭国民党当局逮捕。沈立决意接替老邢，视商场为战场，以自己独特的经商手段为共产党筹措抗战物资。国民党经济调查处专员张书恒从中作梗，沈立利用这位昔日同窗贪得无厌的本性合开公司，借助对方身份掩护自己，在丁敏秋的协助下，将一批批军需物资和经费输送到抗日前线。解放战争胜利在即，沈立为了阻止张书恒偷运大量黄金出境遭到追杀。为保护沈立，丁敏秋与张书恒同归于尽。丁敏秋的牺牲震撼了沈立，追忆老邢的教诲，他面对党旗宣誓，为新中国建设奉献终生。
